AirDroid is one of the tools used to transfer files from computer to Android smartphone, using a WiFi connection. After receiving feedback from many users, Sand Studio decided to settle their claims with AirDroid 3 that control via web, also adds native applications for Windows and Mac. The new version offers therefore a complete user experience multi- screen , bringing the operating system Google functionality similar to that available on 8 iOS and OS X Yosemite (Continuity and Handoff).
AirDroid 3 on the computer screen displays calls, text messages, contacts and notifications of applications. You can then take advantage of the keyboard and mouse to perform multiple tasks, such as transferring files, photos, videos, music, ringtones and obviously the APK file of the app. The most interesting feature is AirMirror, but unfortunately not compatible with all smartphones. As the name suggests, allows you to show AirMirror the entire screen of the Android device and interact directly with the app installed.
This feature is especially useful for messaging services. When the user receives a messageWhatsApp on your smartphone, AirDroid will show a notification on the desktop. A click on the box will activate AirMirror and you can write your reply message. Currently, the company guarantees the compatibility only with rooted devices. Sand Studio began working with manufacturers and mobile operators to allow the use of AirMirror without rooting.
