The wait is over: From now VLC player for Android is in the final version for free at Play Store ready to install. The version 1.0.0 brings no great innovations: the "beta" label in the name is gone, also some bugs have been fixed.
Users had been using the beta version 0.9.9 satisfied, VLC Player for Android is available immediately. The final step was taken: Since mid-2012's application in the Play store listed, about two years required by the development team for the final work.
The new version comes with some bug fixes: The version is also on Android 5.0 Lollipop without errors, the problems with ARMv8 processors belong to the update of the past. It was also great to some other, smaller sites - the app will run continuously without errors. More details about the new version is not yet available, because the developers have not released any official change log - we will supply any missing information about the final activities if necessary. The summer announced support for Google Chrome Cast unfortunately is not yet on board.
The VLC Player is developed by VideoLAN, a project of the French engineering school École Centrale Paris, attended by around 50 employees, 15 to 20 of them regularly. The application is open source and is available as a free download for PC, Mac and smart phones and is used for playing audio and video files, DVDs, VCDs, and streams. The player enjoys great popularity because it can play almost any media format. The VLC player is compatible with Android versions 2.1 and later.
